Our lovely friends at Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam brought us on board to work with director Quentin van den Bossche on this fast paced ad for Booking.com. It was a challenge to find and clear such a wide range of material to a broad brief and we sourced footage from film makers and suppliers across the globe.
The film is an exciting centrepiece of wider campaign which includes an online hub created by AKQA London and encourages users to start their own spontaneous journeys. We love this film and as Sean Condon, Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam’s Creative Director says “We’re very proud of this campaign. Although it’s somewhat of an executional departure from previous work, it has Booking.com’s typical energy, spirit and boldness. It also has a very distinct point of view on summer, a theme that all too easily dissolves into cliché. And the last time I heard an awesome jazz-fusion drum solo as the anchor of a brand film was… never.”
