Advertising agency 180 Amsterdam asked us to research beautiful, cinematic films of famous destinations for a commercial they were creating for Qatar Airways.
We tapped into our global network of film-makers, including specialists in time-lapse and motion-control, as well as sourcing film clips from both large and boutique stock footage libraries.
CGI would be used to comp moving images over the footage so we had to carefully source clips that had space for all that post work. We worked with visual effects company The Mill on a sometimes hourly basis during post-production to find replacement shots with different angles and lighting that were suited exactly to the director’s needs. We also provided expert advice on property releases for some of the iconic buildings featured in the spot.
