One Brilliant Life

We were approached by VCCP and Rogue Films to help tell the story of a woman who lived a brilliant and full life for Co-op’s One Beautiful Life campaign. The aim was to create a film that celebrates her journey and reflects the beauty of a life well lived.

The film weaves together memories over eight decades, from the 1940s through to today, capturing the rhythm of a life; the laughter, the change, the love, the loss. Our team researched content from a huge variety of sources to curate moments that felt emotionally and visually connected to the woman’s journey.

Our focus was on authenticity and tone. Every shot had to feel lived-in and honest, while maintaining a cinematic quality that elevated the narrative. We worked closely with the director Simon Rattigan and VCCP’s creative team to ensure each scene felt like a natural extension of the family’s own record, not a reconstruction.

The finished film is a tender, cinematic tribute that celebrates life in all its simplicity and beauty. By combining personal archive with carefully chosen historical footage, the story unfolds like a memory in motion. The result is a truly moving film!
