Stink Films got in touch needing a hand sourcing and licensing archive footage for their Nike x Palace x England film. The brief was a rich one; a Shakespearean reimagining of English identity, brought to life through iconic football moments, from historic goals to emotive crowd scenes.

We sourced widely across specialist sports archives, direct from the FA, and through a range of third party libraries to find the full picture; iconic on-pitch moments alongside raw, authentic fan footage that captured the real emotion of the game. Nothing came pre-cleared, so we handled all licensing negotiations from scratch across multiple rightsholders. Clearing international football footage is rarely straightforward, and navigating that complexity across a broad range of content is something we’re well practised in.

The result is a film that feels genuinely rooted in football history, and we’re proud to have played a part in bringing it to life.
